This privacy policy applies to the website: www.surveydock.com and all products and services offered by SurveyDock and its related entities. SurveyDock strives to conform its privacy efforts, mission, and /or procedures with any and all applicable laws both foreign and domestic. In addition to the aforementioned laws, Surveydock strives to follow the industry best privacy practices, of various market research and opinion associations, including the ICC/ESOMAR International Code on Market and Social Research and the Code of Standards and Ethics for Survey Research of the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO).

SurveyDock is committed to the protection and safeguarding of personal data collected from all visitors who visit the SurveyDock.com website, or who take part in any type of online or offline market research activity.

Because we are in constant contact with consumers, businesses persons, and patients on a daily basis, Privacy is an especially important issue for marketing and opinion research, because we often obtain confidential, personally identifiable information from such persons. In order to protect the company and our Respondents and comply with legal requirements such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPPA”), the Child Online Privacy and Protection Act (“COPPA”) and other laws and regulations, it is important that we are aware of and comply with our Privacy Policy and Principles when handling all personally identifiable information.

In order to fulfil our commitment to keep your information private, SurveyDock adheres to the following policies:

Information Collection

All information shall be lawfully collected, compiled, stored, allowed access to, processed and utilized by SurveyDock and its associated entities.

In addition, we do not collect personally identifiable information about you except when you specifically AND VOLUNTARILY provide this information TO US. Participation in all research projects is voluntary and respondents may opt out of any research project, at any time. In addition, consent will be obtained prior to the collection of information that will be recorded. However, even if you opt out of receiving any communications from SurveyDock we reserve the right to contact you regarding your account status or any other matter that might affect our service to you and/or our records on you.

If Your Create Surveys or are a Survey Administrator NOT Affiliated with SurveyDock:

You own your data. We will not use the information collected from your surveys in any way, shape, or form. In addition, any other material you provide us (including images, email addresses, etc.) will be held in the strict confidence.

SurveyDock strives for 100% complete HIPPA compliance and it is your responsibility to be HIPPA compliant as well. For those of you dealing with personal health information, the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) will apply to you. If this applies to you or any of your subcontractors, you will need a business associate agreement with us as well as ensure that you are compliant in all other areas, including data encryption in transfer.


If You Answer 3rd Party Surveys:

In most cases, SurveyDock is only a service provider for surveys. Survey creators administer and have control over their own surveys while we host their platform and software service for them. If you have questions about a particular survey you’re taking, please contact your survey creator. SurveyDock does not have any control over the uses of the information that a non-affiliated survey company collects and will be held harmless for any misuse of that data.


If You Are a SurveyDock Panel Member: and have opted into our various surveys, focus groups, interviews, bulletin boards, mock juries, etc:

In order to become a member of SurveyDock and participate in our surveys, you must provide us with certain personal information about yourself.  This information includes, but is not limited to: information that may be used to identify you, such as your first and last name, home or other physical address, your email address, phone number or other contact information, whether at work or at home.  SurveyDock uses this personal information you provide to us to determine your eligibility for surveys, panels and focus groups.  If personal information is required for a survey or study, you will be notified before you participate and you are welcome to opt-out at any time. Your participation in any study acknowledges that you agree to the use and sharing of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


Information Use:

From time to time, SurveyDock performs statistical analyses of user behavior and characteristics as a method to measure user interest and use of the various pages of the website.

Tracking Technology

In order to keep websites running at optimal level, as is true of most sites on the web, SurveyDock automatically gathers particular information and store it in server log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, date/time stamp, ISP, referring/exit pages, length of time on the site, operating system, and/or clickstream data. We aggregate this information and do not combine it with your personal data files (if any).

SurveyDock collects IP addresses and device Id’s for security, system administration and record keeping. Every computer and mobile device will have an IP address assigned to it when accessing the Internet. Our servers record incoming IP addresses. By tracking IP addresses, we can determine which sites refer the most people to SurveyDock.com. (Think of an IP address like your zip code; it tells us in general terms where you’re from.) The IP address is not collected for the purpose of tracking or monitoring your Internet behavior and Surveydock does not have the ability to do so. In non-USA jurisdictions, an IP address may be classified as personal information or personal data under applicable laws; therefore, to the extent that SurveyDock collects IP addresses, SurveyDock will collect, use, maintain, secure and/or disclose IP addresses in accordance with all applicable Laws.

Cookie technology is used by SurveyDock and affiliated websites, marketing partners, analytics providers and online customer support providers. In addition to being a delicious desert item, “Cookies” refer to small text files that a website can use to recognize repeat users and use for user authentication purposes. These technologies are used to track user behavior and compile data that we can use to improve the site.  We may receive reports based on the use of technology on an individual or aggregated basis. Generally, cookies work by assigning a unique number to the visitor that has no meaning outside of the Web site that he or she is visiting.   Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, however, If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some features or areas of our site may be limited. Enabling cookies ensures the best website experience.   

SurveyDock partners with third parties to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity. These third parties use technology such as cookies, HTML5 or Flash to collect and store information. These are also manageable at the browser level.

Opting Out

SurveyDock will allow any user to opt out of our communications at their request. Also, upon your request, www.surveydock.com will delete you and your personal information from our database; however, it may be impossible to delete all of your information without some residual data because of backups and records of deletions.

SurveyDock Forum

If you participate in the SurveyDock web forum: Any information that you post can be read, collected, or used by other forum members or the general public who visit the website and can be used to send you unsolicited messages. SurveyDock will not be held responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums. To request removal of your personal information from our blog or public forum, contact us at help@surveydock.com. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.

Information Sharing and Disclosure:

Personally Information Sharing with Partners

SurveyDock does not share any personally identifiable information with any third parties except as indicated below.

If a SurveyDock user requests a service from one of our partners, their personally identifying information will be shared with that company. The partner company is authorized to contact them regarding their inquiry. Any requests of partner companies are initiated solely by the user, and it will be clearly indicated that a partner company offers the requested service.

SurveyDock may use 3rd-party research panel providers to provide survey respondents for clients who request particular survey respondents or online survey panels. If you are a match with their survey or panel requirements, your contact information will be shared with third-party research panel providers as necessary for them to provide that service. Third-party research panel providers are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

If you are a member of our site, from time to time, we will send you information on the following:

Anything related to the SurveyDock website, products, and services. Forum announcements. Customer Service messages such as welcome emails, logins/passwords and responses to any questions that you may have asked us. Generally, you may not opt-out of customer service communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to cancel your account. If you are a member of the SurveyDock panel or request to be informed of new paid survey opportunities, we may send you email invitations to participate in surveys and focus groups. Access to Personally Identifiable Information:

SurveyDock gives you control of your personal information, so if at any time you wish to change the information if you no longer desire our services, you may update, delete, or cancel your account at any time. If you need any help, please contact help@surveydock.com.

SurveyDock includes links to other Web sites whose privacy practices may differ from ours. If you submit personally identifiable information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies.
